The Air & Space Forces Association's Air Space & Cyber Conference was closed in spectacular fashion with a rendition of Journey's 1981 hit 'Don't Stop Believin'.

A video was posted on Facebook of the US Space Force's Chief Master Sergeant Roger Towberman belting out the chorus of the Journey anthem – which gathered a new generation of fans after a rendition of the song appeared on the American comedy-drama Glee in 2009.

He performed the song at one of the biggest conferences of the year for the Air and Space Forces with "16,000 registrants and standing-room only at several of the speaker panels", according to reports.

Towberman, prior to the Journey anthem, teamed up with Former US Air Force Band member and the writer of the US Space Force's new official song, James Teachenor.

To warm up, they got the crowd to sing the Air Force song, followed by the Space Force song.

The space force, the newest military branch established in 2019, launched its service dress last year and only this month joined the other US uniformed service branches in having its own official song.

The US Space Force can now be "boldly reaching into space" with its song titled 'Semper Supra'.
