What is HIMARS? The weapons system the US has supplied to Ukraine explained
The United States is sending four more High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) to Ukraine, the US Defense Secretary has announced.
HIMARS – a light multiple rocket launcher system developed in the 1990s for the US Army – is one of the most significant weapons sent by the West to Ukraine since the start of the war.
The delivery will see the total number of HIMARS delivered to Ukraine by the US reach 16.
