Ukraine must be wary of refocused Russia in the east, analyst says

Ukraine has weathered "the initial storm" of invasion but must be wary of a more focused Russian resurgence in "phase two", a defence analyst has said.

Defence and security analyst Air Vice Marshal (Ret'd) Sean Bell told Forces News if Russia focuses its efforts in the east of the country, it could make life a lot more difficult for Ukrainian forces.

"It's not just about one bit of kit, it's about a collective capability, and that's where I think the Ukrainians will need a lot of help," he said.
