Body found in search for former British paratrooper in Ukraine

A former British paratrooper who travelled to Ukraine has reportedly been found dead.
Daniel Burke was reported missing a month ago by his family, who had not heard from him and believed he could be fighting in Ukraine.
Officers searching for the missing Brit have been informed by Ukrainian authorities that they have found a body.
Last week Diane, Daniel's mother, said that Ukrainian authorities were using CCTV to try to trace his movements, but they had found his apartment in Zaporizhzhia empty with no signs of a break-in and the door triple locked.
Greater Manchester police, Mr Burke's family and Ukrainian authorities are now working together to identify the body and bring it back to the UK.
Detective Superintendent Lewis Hughes, GMP’s lead for disaster victim identification, said:
“My team and I are working with the Ukrainian authorities to make formal identification with a view to repatriating Daniel following that process.
“Daniel’s family have asked for privacy at this difficult time.”
This is the second former British soldier believed to be found dead in Ukraine this month .
It was reported last week that Jordan Chadwick, who served as a Scots guard in the British Army from 2011 to 2015, had been found dead in a body of water with his hands bound behind his back.
