Leopard 2: The numbers behind arguably the world's best tank
The German-made Leopard 2 tank is widely regarded as the best of its kind in the world, combining both speed and accuracy, and capable of hitting targets 5km away while on the move.
The battle tanks are now to deploy to Ukraine as Germany has confirmed they are to send 14 tanks from its own stocks and allow other countries, like Poland, to send theirs too.
The goal is to provide Ukraine with a total of two battalions – 88 tanks – with donations from a number of countries.
