
Where and when to watch the Hercules retirement flypast

Three Royal Air Force (RAF) C-130J Hercules will be flying across the UK to mark the aircraft's retirement.
Throughout today (June 14), planes will fly across England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales, covering locations of significance to the Hercules' service and 47 Squadron which is standing down to await a new role.
The RAF will be transitioning to the Atlas A400ms fleet after the retirement of the Hercules, and will also be using other types of air mobility aircraft.
The Hercules has been flown by the RAF since 1966 and has operated across the globe in support of UK military and humanitarian relief operations.

The Hercules is known as the workhorse of the RAF.
The aircraft will continue to be used by 47 Squadron until the end of the month.
