Royal Marine starts the new year with bobsleigh world cup bronze

Royal Marine Taylor Lawrence and driver Brad Hall have kept up their superb form in the 2022-23 Bobsleigh World Cup series.
This weekend they claimed a bronze medal in the two-man bobsleigh event in Winterberg, Germany.
Only Germany's Johannes Lochner and Michael Vogt of Switzerland finished above them.

The team's two-run time of 1 minute 51.44 seconds saw them start the new year with a third two-man medal, after a brace of silvers in Whistler and Park City in November and December respectively.
Hall and Lawrence have each won four World Cup medals so far this season before this competition, including their historic four-man gold with Greg Cackett and Arran Gulliver in Lake Placid in the final race of 2022.
Mne Lawrence said it was "a real special feeling" to win at the IBSF World Cup in Lake Placid.
In December, he spoke exclusively to BFBS Sport about the team's success after "knocking on the door of a gold medal for so long".
Hall and Lawrence will go again later today in the four-man competition, again teaming up with Cackett and Gulliver hoping to repeat their race win in the US last time out.
