UK Medals Keep Rolling In At Invictus Games

The second day of finals competitions at the Invictus Games 2016 in Orlando, Florida, saw the UK team among the medals once again.

It was a fantastic day for the competitors taking part in the track and field events, with athletes combining to produce a haul of 36 medals for Britain against tough American opposition.

In the seated volleyball, meanwhile, the UK side took silver after a hard-fought defeat in the final against the US.

Lance Corporal Netra Rana and his teammates were involved in two tight matches, with the atmosphere in the stadium electric as the team battled to stay in the competition.

It comes after 53 medals were won in the previous day's sports.

The Invictus Games semi-finals and finals began on Monday, with wounded, sick and injured personnel and veterans from 15 nations competing across 10 sports - and many in multiple disciplines.

After getting three medals on the first day, below-the-knee left leg amputee Petty Officer Sean Gaffney got yet another medal, this time a bronze in the relay.

This adds to his golds in heavyweight powerlifting and one-minute rowing and silver in the four-minute rowing race. He spoke to us moments after the 400 metres:
