He'll complete his 100th marathon on the 100-year anniversary of the RAF...

RAF Airman Corporal Jon Ward has taken on the challenge of running 100 marathons to mark the centenary of the RAF.

He completed marathon number 97 this weekend, having first ran the London Marathon in 2007.

The marathon was held in Kent and around 120 people took part - with Jon holding the lead throughout.

It was after his sixth marathon, in Dublin, that he considered attempting to achieve membership of the 100 Marathon Club.

By September 2016 he had completed 21 marathons.

Jon ran his personal best time on Exercise with No. 1 (F) Squadron in the USA earlier this year.

The 100th marathon will be on April 1 and all the money raised will go to the RAF Benevolent Fund.
