UKAF fight hard but fall short at Remembrance Rugby clash

The UK Armed Forces fell short of victory at the Remembrance Rugby clash on Wednesday evening, losing 32-45 to Gloucester United.

The clash took place at Kingsholm Stadium in Gloucester, the site of the Army v RAF Inter Services battles.

UKAF try scorers included team captain Jarrard Hayler, Will Lamont, Kieran Forbes, Viliame Kotobalavu and Gareth Smith.

Before the match, players, officials and spectators observed a minute's silence to remember the fallen, and buglers played the Last Post.

Following the minute's silence, singer Amelia Underwood-King was on hand to sing the national anthem 'God Save the King' before the match got under way.

A full replay of the Remembrance fixture can be found on the Forces News YouTube channel.
