RAF's Sarah Bonar named to Scotland squad for WXV tournament

Royal Air Force Rugby star Flight Lieutenant Sarah Bonar has been named to Scotland's 30-player squad that will head to South Africa for the global women's international 15s tournament, also known as WXV.
WXV is a new competition launched by World Rugby with the aim of transforming the international rugby landscape and providing a pathway for all unions and a competitive qualification route towards an expanded 16-team Rugby World Cup in 2025.
Scotland will compete in the second tier of the competition, WXV 2, which they secured after finishing fourth in the recent TikTok Women's Six Nations.
Flt Lt Bonar was forced to miss the Six Nations and this year's Inter Service championships due to injury.
Her RAF teammates, England's Amy Cokayne and Wales' Carys Williams-Morris, are also expected to be announced to their respective squads for WXV.
Scotland have been drawn in Pool A and will face South Africa, Japan and USA over three weekends, beginning on 13 October.
