12 Regiment Royal Artillery have won the 2023 Army rugby union Premiership final in Newbury.

They beat 1st Battalion The Royal Welsh by a 29-12 scoreline to win their fifth title in 10 years.

12 Reg RA featured a number of stars who played at Twickenham Stadium for the 2023 Army v Navy match with Owain Davies impressing.

Davies opened the scoring for 12 Reg RA with a well-taken try and further scores from Alfredo Naulivou, Dom Carrol and Tom Chave had them in cruise control.

1 Royal Welsh hit back in the second half through tries from James Disney and Misa Rokotuiwakaya and a sin bin for 12 Regt RA's Josh Vakasilikakala sprung hope of a comeback.

However, the dominant Thorney Island-based team swiftly scored their fifth try of the game through Pete Austin to seal their victory.
