Royal Navy win Challenge Cup first round match in Portsmouth
The Royal Navy Rugby League team have advanced to the second round of the Challenge Cup after beating visitors Barrow Island in Portsmouth.
A 28-16 win saw the reigning Inter Services champions win in the first round for the second straight year.
In the first half, Barrow Island gained an advantage after scoring two converted tries through Sam Jones.

That was until the Navy found their rhythm as Gavin Duffy and Matt Gaskell scored (both converted) to level the scoreboard.
Before half time, the Navy's James Teixeira scored an unconverted try to give the Navy a four-point lead at the break.
Gavin Duffy scored his second of the game which was followed up by another converted try from James Steinberg to give the Navy a 10-point lead in the second half.
Matt Gaskell added two extra points to the Navy's lead from a penalty and at the final whistle, the Navy won 28-16.
They will advance to the second round of the Challenge Cup where they will play the North Wales Crusaders at Colwyn Bay in two weeks' time.
