The Welsh Rugby League women's team have announced their squad for their World Cup qualifiers and have included a number of military players.

Army trio Bethan Dainton, Jade Mullen and Hannah Williams are included with Williams and Army rugby union captain Mullin hoping to win their first caps.

The RAF's Chelcey Greasley, who won the Super League South title with Cardiff Demons last year, has also been named and is looking to win her first cap as well.

Former Army rugby and netball star Fern Davies, who is a veteran of the UK Armed Forces, is also listed in the squad.

Dainton and Mullen recently starred for the Army rugby union team as they swept away the RAF in Gloucester.

Mullin has recently been getting involved with rugby league and has been playing for London Broncos while Dainton has been starring for Leeds Rhinos after signing for the club in January.

Meanwhile, Greasley has been an important player for the RAF rugby union team this season including a headline-making hat-trick against the Navy in Plymouth.

Barring any injuries, this squad will compete for Wales in the period between September 2023 and May 2024 with fixtures against the Netherlands, Greece and Turkey scheduled.
