The first and second round draws for the 2022 rugby league Challenge Cup have been made, with the UK military's three sides all beginning their campaigns away from home.
There is also the chance of a British Army vs Royal Navy clash in the second round if both sides win their first-round matches.
The British Army, who reached the fourth round of the competition for the first time ever last season, (watch highlights at the top of this page), will face Orrell St James in the first round of the 2022 tournament.
The Royal Navy have been drawn away to Bridgend Blue Bulls, while the Royal Air Force will travel to Thornhill Trojans.
The first-round ties will be played during the weekend of 15 and 16 January 2022.
The second round will be played a fortnight later, with the prospect of an Army vs Navy clash if they win their respective first-round matches.
The RAF will face Doncaster away in round two should they progress.
The military Challenge Cup first-round ties are:
- Orrell St James vs British Army
