
Army's Bethan Dainton training with Leeds Rhinos after switching rugby codes

Army rugby star Bombardier Bethan Dainton has switched codes and is now training with Women's Super League side Leeds Rhinos.
Bdr Dainton, who has been capped by Wales in both union and league, made the move after quitting rugby union outfit Harlequins.
The versatile player started her international career in the 15-a-side game with Wales on the wing and won the last of her eight caps with the national side in the back row.

She was part of the Quins squad that won the Premier 15s title in 2021 and became the first servicewoman to represent the Barbarians.
The serving soldier scored two tries for the Army as they beat the Royal Navy at Twickenham last season and aims to continue playing for the Army in both union and league.
She won her only cap for Wales in rugby league when they played England earlier in the year.
