Army women's rugby league players impress in Inter Services replacement fixture

The Army go into their clash with the RAF with momentum after an 86-0 win over a Stanningley/West Bowling mixed team.

The military players were set for an Inter Services clash against the Royal Navy at Odsal Stadium.

However, the match was called off due to the Navy's player availability and two local sides came together to provide the Army with a fixture.

The Forces team were heavy favourites for the impromptu clash and it showed with a dominant performance.

The Army will now play the RAF in an Inter Services fixture although the title situation hasn't been clarified following the Navy's decision to pull out.
