Army Rugby League teams shine at Nav 9s Inter Unit competition
The annual Army inter Unit competition has taken place at Aldershot with plate, bowl and cup winners crowned.
The tournament is called the Nav 9s – named after one of the founding fathers of Army Rugby League retired Lieutenant Colonel Rich Naivalurua.
Only seven teams were able to take part in this year's event due to ongoing operations, training and rehearsals for the coronation of King Charles III.
The Challenge Cup, one of rugby league's most prestigious trophies, was on show in Aldershot for fans to see.
After a morning of round robin pool matches, there were three finals.
The Bowl Final saw 4 Regiment Royal Logistic Corps come out on top after a 32-24 win over the Pegasus team from 16 Air Assault.
3 Royal School of Mechanical Engineering won the Plate Final scoring five tries in a 24-16 victory against 1 Regiment Army Air Corps.
In the Cup Final, 1 YORKS from the Royal Yorkshire Regiment were able to retain the trophy they won last year, scoring a comprehensive 40-4 win over 21 Engineer Regiment.
