Rugby League: Two Army Stars Sign For Wigan Warriors

Abby Eatock and Freya Hellin join a number of Army women players already playing in the Super League.

Two Army Rugby League players have signed for Wigan Warriors for the upcoming season.

Abby Eatock and Freya Hellin have both been named in the side's Women's Super League squad.

Wigan-born Eatock impressed for Super League winners Leeds Rhinos in 2019 but has made the switch to her hometown club.

Hellin returns to Wigan after a previous spell with the club.

Both players continue the trend of Army players in the Super League with Carrie Roberts, Tara Moxon and Tilly Butler all playing in the division.

Meanwhile, the Army will be playing in the new Super League South competition later in the summer.

The Army Rugby League Twitter account was quick to congratulate both Eatock and Hellin on their Wigan moves.
