Winter Paralympics: Army veteran hunting for snowboard success

Army veteran Owen Pick is set for his second Paralympics in Beijing – but what are Team GB hoping for from his snowboarding events?

Pick narrowly missed out on a medal in 2018 and, in an exclusive interview with Forces News, he revealed his aims for this year's events.

The former Royal Anglian Regiment soldier was involved in an IED explosion in Afghanistan which led to a leg amputation.

Since then, his snowboarding career has taken him to the biggest stages of the sport, including the World Championships.

During his interview, Pick discussed his closest rivals for a medal, as well as how important the funding from sources like the National Lottery is to Team GB.
