The Army Inter Corps netball tournament has returned for the first time since 2019.

The Royal Engineers soldier has signed a second contract with Super league side Severn Stars and is keen to bring that experience to the Army.

"I was excited again to be given an opportunity," said Cpl Bolakoro. "It was amazing to be asked to join the team again for another season with Severn Stars.

"I think it's quite good because [I'm] bringing the knowledge from that level to Army level and sharing it with the girls – I think it's really good for them as well.

"I'm learning as well so it goes both ways. I'm learning stuff from the Army and taking it to Stars."

Lieutenant Colonel Laura Ellis is the Army netball head coach, but played in the tournament with the REME.

She thinks there's a lot of new talent that these events bring for her to take a look at.

She said: "So far, we've picked up lots of people, completely new, never played Army netball before, new to the Army, which is great news.

"It's a great position to be in.

"It is difficult to choose but that's a great unfortunate position to be in as the coach to be able to make those decisions."
