The Adjutant General's Corps enjoyed a double victory at the Army Inter Corps Netball Championships in Aldershot, winning both the A League and B League games respectively.
The Adjutant General's Corps (AGC), the defending champions, beat their fierce rivals from the Army Medical Services (AMS) in both games to retake both titles.
In the A League game, the AGC got off to a great start after former super league star Ellie Nawele became the first to put the ball in the net to put them out in front.
With experienced players on their side, the AGC began to play with confidence, which soon led to Tara Simpson scoring to further extend their lead over the AMS.
But the AMS began to find their rhythm, and Portsmouth based GP Emma Cochrane gave the AMS their first score of the game.
It didn't take long until they levelled the scoreboard, where Charlie Winship capitalised on the growing confidence of the AMS.
But Simpson was on hand to ensure the AGC had the lead before half-time, putting her side 6-4 in front.
In the second half, the AMS began to get the better of the AGC defence, but former Fijian international Ellie Nawale was on great form and proved to be the deciding factor between both sides.
The AMS were unable to stop the AGC, who saw off their rivals with a 14-10 victory.
In the B League Championship, the AMS started well but couldn't capitalise on their confident start to the game.
Trailing 5-3 at half-time, the AGC got the better of their rivals and stormed to a 12-7 victory to cap off two successful games and an impressive silverware haul.
A weekend to celebrate for the AGC winning back-to-back titles, as well as some crucial on-court time for the Army players as their attention now turns to the Inter Services which is scheduled to take place in March.
