Navy Win Inter Services Offshore Regatta

It is the third year in which the Navy have been crowned champions.

The Royal Navy Sailing Team have won the Inter Services Offshore Regatta.

This year’s event saw three races with the teams travelling from Portsmouth to Cherbourg, France, Weymouth and then back to Portsmouth.

The win means the Navy team have retained the trophy for the third year in a row.

The Navy team managed to secure victories in the IRC and Victoria individual races to give them the overall win.

The British Army did secure a runners-up spot by winning the Victoria team title.

Their race was hindered by soldiers' unable to finish after a gear problem.
