2020 Forces Motorsport Challenge Officially Cancelled

The 2020 Armed Forces motorsport racing challenge has been officially cancelled.

The event was postponed at the start of the coronavirus outbreak with the hope to reschedule.

However, it has now been confirmed that the event will not happen this year.

Races at Silverstone, Croft and Brands Hatch had already been called off because of the lockdown, with hopes that two other events could take place during August and September.

A planned 8 August race at Silverstone has been now called off, after it was revealed the rescheduled F1 British Grand Prix would take place at the Northampton track on that day.

The final race of the season would have been on 19 September at Oulton Park, but that has now also been cancelled.

The championship organisers are still hopeful the 2020 Birkett six-hour race can still take place on 24 October at Silverstone.
