Racers shine in sunny weather for Telemark Classic at Meribel

The Inter Services Snow Sports championship roared back into action at Meribel with the Telemark Classic live on the Forces News YouTube channel.

Lieutenant James French continued his good form after winning the men's Telemark Sprint by taking the Classic men's title too.

The women's race was won by the RAF's Squadron Leader Clare Thomas who was also victorious in the Sprint on Tuesday.

Second place in the men's race went to the Army's Captain Stefan Hurst with his teammate Captain Ben Atkinson awarded the bronze medal.

The women's podium saw Flight Lieutenant Sarah Shave (silver) and the Navy's Medical Assistant Tezney Murphy (bronze) join the winner.

Meanwhile, the Alpine Super Giant Slalom saw the Navy's Able Seaman Graeme Price pick up another victory.

He won the Giant Slalom race on Tuesday and backed it up with a win today in the event known as the 'Super G'.

Lt French was in second for the Navy while Sapper Duncan Kuwali took bronze for the Army.

The women's race was won by Flying Officer Kirsty Guest who made it three wins from three in Meribel.

The RAF star won gold while Major Tessa Pirie of the Army took silver and Lieutenant Lilias Hopkinson from the Navy finished third.
