Invictus Games: Memorial service held to commemorate fallen in Ukraine

A memorial service organised by the Ukrainian team has been held at the Invictus Games to commemorate the people who have been killed during the fighting in Ukraine and military personnel lost at war from Invictus nations.
The event included the laying of flowers in front of a candle of remembrance, which will burn throughout the tournament, and a short period of silence was observed.
Attendees were also invited to pay their own tributes to loved ones who had been lost in action.
The event was attended by representatives from all 21 nations competing in Düsseldorf.
Twelve medals on day two of the competition brought Team UK's medal tally to 25.
The Invictus Games is an international multi-sport event that was launched in 2014 by the Duke of Sussex.
The adaptive event is aimed at wounded, injured or sick Armed Forces personnel and veterans, and takes its name from the Latin word 'Invictus', meaning 'unconquered' or 'undefeated'.
