Inter-Services: In The Dressing Room With The Army's T20 Cricket Team

Hear the team's thoughts from behind the scenes...

Ever wondered what the two batsmen chat about between overs during a cricket match?

Well, we can't tell you exactly that - but here at Forces Network, we've been busy giving you a light-hearted glimpse into the minds of some of the best cricketers the forces have on offer.

The cream of the Army, Royal Navy and RAF crop are set to face off in the Inter-Services Triangular T20 Tournament on Thursday at Lord's, and as you'll see above, team spirit is running high in the build-up.

Want to find out who Sergeant Ross Dearden's favourite cricketer ever is? Clue: it's an England captain from Yorkshire (Private Tade Carmichael's, meanwhile, is a fellow left-hander)...

We also reveal wicketkeeper Bombardier Graham Wiseman's biggest fear: something far more terrible than more typical answers like spiders and snakes!

He gets some praise from Staff Sergeant Urie Hill, though, although one of Lance Corporal Luke Robinson's team-mates isn't so kind about his 'craic'.

There's also a brash show of confidence from the skipper, Corporal Jay Boynton - just click above to watch!

Gates will open for this Thursday's IST20 at 09:00, with the first match starting an hour later.

Former Cpl Gam Gurung, who lost his arm while serving with the Royal Gurkha Rifles, will be performing the coin toss.

Play is expected to last until around 19:15. Tickets can be bought online at or by calling 020 7432 1000 and are £17 for adults, £8.50 for over-65s and £5 for under-16s.
