HMS Queen Elizabeth hosts Inter-Services Judo Championships

This was the first time an inter-service championships of any sport has happened onboard a Royal Navy warship.

HMS Queen Elizabeth hosted the first inter-services Judo Championships since the pandemic in Portsmouth.

Competitors from the Royal Navy, Army and RAF faced each other in a series of bouts throughout the day, in various weight categories.

Chair of the UKAF Judo Association, Lieutenant Commander Stephen Watson said: "This is the first time an inter-service championships of any sport has happened on a warship. And we're really really proud to be able to have the other two services on here."
