Great Britain shooters selected for World Cup assignments

Two of the military's top shooters, Lesley Stewart and Emilia Faulkner, have been selected for World Cup assignments this summer where they'll represent Great Britain on the international stage.
Lesley Stewart, a former Royal Military Police officer, returns in the R2 10-metre Air Rifle standing event at the World Shooting Para Sport World Cup in Changwon, South Korea.
Stewart, who served in Iraq and Germany, is hoping to qualify for next year's Paralympic Games in Paris where she'll be aiming to better her result from the Paralympics in Tokyo, where she finished just outside the top 10 in her competition.
Meanwhile, 2024 Olympic hopeful Sapper Emilia Faulkner of the Royal Engineers will compete for Great Britain at the Junior World Cup in Germany.
Regarded as a rising star in shooting, Faulkner is set to compete in the Air Pistol and Sport Women Pistol events at the Junior World Cup, which takes place in the city of Suhl in June.

Earlier this year, Faulkner competed at the Swedish Cup where she won a silver and a bronze medal, and was also named Best Junior Woman in Pistol Shooting.
She also won a team gold and three silver medals at the InterShoot International event in the Netherlands.
Faulkner, who spoke to BFBS last year, is the British U21 number one and is on the Troops to Target programme as well as the GB Shooting Development Squad.
