Armed Forces eMotorsports championship: RAF racer wins big in opening round
RAF drivers have got off to a flying start at the beginning of the 2023 Armed Forces eMotorsports championship by dominating the top places in the first two races.
In identical Toyota GR86 Cup cars, it was Ryan Martin who showed everyone else how to handle the Silverstone GP circuit as he won both the opening races.
The first win came from pole position after dominating qualifying – beating Matty Chambers and Paul Heyhoe who were second and third.

He was even more dominant in the second race with a gap of eight seconds to runner-up James King who pipped Chris Pawley in a thrilling final couple of laps.
Last season's champion, the Army's Craig Durrant, had a day to forget having to withdraw from the races.
Martin leads the fledgling championship on 202 points with Heyhoe second on 174 and King third on 169.
The 10-week series, powered by BFBS, with 20 races, will take the drivers to some of the iconic virtual British circuits including their next round at Brands Hatch.
