Former Scotland international and recent Falkirk sporting director Gary Holt will be joining the BFBS broadcast team for this Saturday's Army Super Cup final in Glasgow.

The match between 6 SCOTS and 4 Regt RLC will be broadcast live on the Forces News YouTube channel from 14:00.

Holt previously played for current Premier League side Nottingham Forest as well as stints at Norwich City, Stoke City, Wycombe Wanderers, Kilmarnock and Colchester United.

He earned 10 caps for Scotland and scored against Trinidad and Tobago in 2004.

Since retiring from the game in 2010, he spent a year as manager of Falkirk as well as two years in charge at Livingston where he led them to their highest finish in a Scottish Premiership season.

That earned Holt the Scottish Football Writers' Association Manager of the Year Award while his most recent posting was back at Falkirk as sporting director.

Holt will be using his expert knowledge to provide co-commentary on the match, alongside Kyle Dixon, in Glasgow.

Jon Knighton will be on reporting duties for a clash of reserves v regular soldiers.

The match also takes place on the same day as the Scotland v England Six Nations rugby union event so it serves as a preview for the rivalry between the two countries.
