A team of British soldiers are tackling the US Marine Corps Marathon in Washington to raise money for charity.

It's the second year troops from 51st Highland, 7th Battalion The Royal Regiment Of Scotland (7 SCOTS) have taken part in the race.

With 50% of the team Army reservists, training can be difficult as the athletes have got jobs and other family commitments.

But as Second Lieutenant Rory Hand explained, it's a challenge they're taking in their stride:

"I think on behalf of the team [when I say] that we're all really raring to go... We're in our final stages of preparation."

"Everyone's doing really well, running and training alongside their work."
