Big TKO win as Army dominate annual boxing show

The Army boxing team are heading towards the Inter Services with momentum after a dominant performance at their annual show in Aldershot.

The event saw Army athletes face civilian boxers from across the country ahead of the tri-service tournament at RAF Halton on 16 March.

An impressive TKO win by Sapper Joseph Fleming was the highlight of the show.

Glynn Davies, from Hillcrest Boxing Club, was given two standing counts before a third thumping blow meant the referee stopped the contest.

There were also wins for Army team captain Sergeant Shamim Khan and Private Jordan Shaw – who was making his debut for his service team.

Sgt Khan beat former Southern Counties title winner Lennox Gill while Pte Shaw got the better of Acocks Green Boxing Club's Dillon Clift.
