The online Forces Fit community is setting the Worldwide web on fire and we would love you join us! We’re after your videos, pictures, challenges, whatever way you’re staying active or even getting fit during lockdown we want to know!
For years, the military have been pioneers in keeping fit in small, confined spaces, and being creative with gym gear.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, thousands of military personnel, their families and veterans are at home trying to stay positive and active.
'BFBS Forces Fit' involves weekly online workouts from military instructors and sport & fitness influencers, that can be done from the safety of people's homes, as well as people sharing photos/videos of the exercises they have been doing.
At the bottom of this article we have attached the workouts that have been done so far, in case you've missed them.
Former Royal Navy PTI, The Overtones singer & BFBS Presenter Jay James has lead the campaign and he says:
"Being in the military taught me that staying Forces Fit really is the key to a healthy body & mind. We're calling on everyone, however hard or easy to share what they're doing to inspire us all!"
The first workout, coming Wednesday, April 29 at 7pm UKT, is with double Olympic champion Dame Kelly Holmes. She said:
“Staying active and fighting fit is always so important but now more than ever.
"Encouraging and motivating everyone to do that through my workouts online and BFBS Forces Fit is something I’m so happy to do."
What are you doing to stay fit? However hard, easy or in between, from NHS couch to 5k, walking the dog to a HIIT session, you can join the 'BFBS Forces Fit' community. Simply upload your workout videos and pictures to your preferred social media account and use the hashtag #BFBSForcesFit.
"Healthy in body, healthy in mind" is a phrase deeply rooted in the Armed Forces, and the 'BFBS Forces Fit' campaign hopes to promote that message.
With a variety of famous and familiar faces, 'BFBS Forces Fit' has been created to get the UK military to share their fitness routines and motivate the rest of the country to stay active.
Every Wednesday at 7pm UKT you will be able to follow along live and take part in a workout on BFBS Radio Facebook page.

Next up to lead a workout was the fantastic WO1 SEAC Glenn Haughton. This time though it was all about relaxing while still getting your body moving by using yoga.
If you want to sweat then Love Island star Gabby Allen's workout will get you doing just that! Packed full of energy her workout really takes you through your paces:
"Say yeah!", that's right we got the most motivational person out there - Mr Motivator! Sporting his normal brightly coloured lycra the 90s legendary fitness instructor took us through an energetic workout, with some secret mindfullness.
