RAF triathlon guide Luke Pollard has won a gold medal at the 2021 World Triathlon Para Championships in Abu Dhabi.

Pollard guided visually impaired triathlete Dave Ellis to success and a return to form after disappointment at the Paralympics.

The pair finished more than a second quicker than their closest rivals to take the gold.

The win came from a strong performance in all three aspects of the triathlon as they were quicker on the bike, on foot and on the swim.

It's a return to winning ways for the pair after a disastrous time in Tokyo where a broken bike chain meant they had to abandon the Paralympic race, despite being favourites.
