RAF triathlon guide Senior Aircraftman Luke Pollard revealed representing his country by winning a Commonwealth Games gold medal is 'one of the proudest moments' of his life.
SAC Pollard and his teammate Dave Ellis romped home four minutes quicker than their nearest challengers in Birmingham.
It's a moment that the RAF man will never forget.

He said: "Representing England is one of the proudest moments of my life.
"And then also the added bonus of representing not only the RAF but the whole Armed Forces.
"The support I've been given over my whole career really has just been unbelievable and I'm really glad we're able to get the result to give back to showcase the support."
The pair suffered disappointment twelve months ago at the Tokyo Paralympics when a broken bike chain ruined their chances of a medal.
Does this result make up for that?
"It does definitely," said Ellis, who is ranked number one in the world.
"It's like going from the worst moment of your life to the best. It really makes up for it. It's so special.
"On home soil to win a major medal, I mean a gold as well. It's just unbelievable."
