Army U23’s head coach Captain Mal Roberts has praised his team’s victory over the Navy U23s in the Inter-Services Championship.
Throughout the night, the rugby shown from both sides was easy on the eye and the coach is keen to praise his team for some brilliant passages of play.
“They put together some really, really good phase play out there today and finished off some great tries,” he stated.
"Like I said to them, you take your foot off the gas for that split second, the Navy will come back into it. We just had to be ruthless in the second half."
The team’s captain, Signaller Joshi Raqio, is also happy with the result and is planning to celebrate with his squad.
He said: “Enjoy ourselves tonight. Why not? We have to look after each other."
The player was returned the praise back on his head coach, saying: “Obviously Mal was a new coach for us. We all knew his name.
“He came in and went ‘I’m not going to inspire you boys. You are going to inspire each other. Just go out there, play your hearts out and doing what you are going to do. “
