An Army Reservist has been announced as part of Ireland’s squad for the 2019 Women’s Six Nations.
Sergeant Sarah Mimnagh has been included in a list of 36 players who can be selected for their opening game of the tournament against England in February.
Sgt Mimnaugh also spends her time as a firefighter for the London Fire Brigade and has played previously for Ireland at international level.
Following the game against England at Energia Park in Dublin, they travel to the Scotsoun Stadium in Glasgow to play Scotland a week later.
Games against Italy, Wales and defending champions France are also on the fixture list for Ireland as they look to win their first title since 2015.
Sgt Mimnaugh has also starred at Army level, making her debut against South Africa in November 2017 and will be keenly awaiting the Inter Services Championship in April.
Regarding the Six Nations inclusion, the player took to social media to show her pride.
