2022 CGS Army Sports Awards: How to watch

It's time to celebrate the best of Army sport once again with the 2022 CGS Army Sports Awards – and you can watch the ceremony LIVE with BFBS.

The event will be available to watch LIVE on the Forces News YouTube channel and on BFBS TV for serving personnel on 17 November, with a currently scheduled start time of 21:30 UK time.

Women's sport is featured highly in this year's nominations, reflecting the growth and strength of women's sport in the service. 

The Women's Hockey Team have already been announced as the winners of the Team of the Year award and the Sportswoman of the Year nominees include boxer Corporal Megan Reid, rugby union's Bombardier Bethan Dainton, judo's Corporal Sarah Hawkes and triathlon's Captain Kat Matthews. 

Three of the four nominees for the Rising Star award are women, including rugby union's Private Courtney Pursglove, triathlon's Private Jasmine Holmes and boxing's Lance Corporal Terri Stewart.

For the Sportsman of the Year award, the nominees include wakeboarder Warrant Officer Dale Crossley, judo's Warrant Officer Ethaniel Jeffries-Mor and boxer Lance Corporal Carnell Brown. 

There will also be an Official Award selected from Rugby Union, Netball and Weightlifting, as well as unit awards and a Lifetime Achievement Award.
