Nepal is still recovering from the devasting earthquakes and aftershocks that reduced many of its buildings and temples to ruins.
The Gurkha Welfare Trust is among the international organisations to have been working to help its people recover, with one of its key roles to help veterans living in poverty.
The Trust offers help running GP services, medical camps and clinics from its welfare centres around the country - and one of the biggest problems they've been facing is access to medical care.
In the days before the disaster, Carla Prater witnessed how the trust is helping Nepal’s ex-servicemen. Thankfully both the centre she visited and the veterans she filmed all survived the earthquake.
