In the latest edition of 'Kate Meets', Forces TV presenter Kate Gerbeau gets an exclusive interview with Chris Ryan.
The former Special Forces soldier-turned author made history in 1991 with the "longest escape and evasion by an SAS trooper or any other soldier".
The eight-man patrol he was a part of, call-sign 'Bravo Two Zero', deployed into Iraq during the First Gulf War, and the events which followed have become the subject of a number of books from the men who took part, amongst others.

Three of the eight soldiers died during the patrol, whilst four were awarded medals afterwards. Ryan, meanwhile, was the only one to escape capture, with the others later released.
In doing so he completed a 190 mile tab to the Syrian border, covering 100 miles more than SAS trooper Jack Sillito had in the Sahara Desert in 1942.
