A piece of artwork featuring the names of 518 soldiers serving with the 2nd Battalion Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment has been presented to them this week.
The 'muster roll' took illustrator Clare Villar three months to produce by hand, and it's a picture of battalion's history, captured in art.
A hand written honour roll listing all of the battalion’s current serving soldiers, Clare said of the artwork:
"They really are a labour of love because they take such a long time."
Clare became a full-time artist in 2014, and military artwork is a new venture for her.
With a history dating back to 1661 the regiment 'The Tigers' are the most decorated regiment in the British Army, with 57 Victoria crosses.
As well as each mess receiving a copy, Colonel in Chief Queen Margaret of Denmark will also be receiving an honour role to hang in her palace.
Like their forbears in history, the names of this current battalion of tigers will now be preserved forever.
