Gurkhas declared ready to guard Royal Palaces after tough inspection

British Army Gurkhas have passed a tough inspection to ensure they are up to the task of guarding the Royal Palaces.

The inspection of the troops from 94 Squadron, The Queen’s Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment, was held earlier this month in London prior to the death of Her Majesty The Queen.

The soldiers already possessed an impressive and diverse range of capabilities but proving they can reach the high standards required to perform upcoming public duties for the Royal Family was top of their list of aspirations.

This report was filmed prior to the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
