Queen Consort visits Grenadier Guards for the first time as Colonel-in-Chief

The Queen Consort has visited the Grenadier Guards for the first time as Colonel-in-Chief of the regiment.

Camilla was appointed to the role in 2022 and visited Lille Barracks to meet members of the regiment and their families as well as present medals.

1st Battalion Grenadier Guards is part of the 4th Light Brigade Combat Team and currently has elements deployed to Iraq in order to protect personnel deployed to the country under Op Inherent Resolve.

Members of The King's Company returned from Iraq to form the Bearer Party for the state funeral of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
