A Government minister has admitted “an injustice” was done to a Para killed in the Falklands, who was denied a gallantry medal.
A citation was written for Corporal Stuart McLachlan in 1982, but wasn’t properly submitted.
Labour MP’s called a special debate in Parliament asking for a rethink.
But the Veterans Minister told them it had been left too long and would set a difficult precedent if a medal was awarded now.
