The Best Of The Invictus Games 2018

Invictus Games 2018

The Invictus Games use the power of sport to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate a wider understanding and respect for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women.

In October 2018 72 UK athletes travelled to Australia to compete across 13 different sports at some iconic locations and venues in Sydney. There to capture it all for Forces Radio BFBS were Jade Callaway & Amy Casey. In this two-hour special, which originally aired over Christmas, you can enjoy some of their favourite moments.

The Linguistic Games

The motto for the Invictus Games Sydney was #MakeYourMarkDownUnder so we also designed a game of our own. Athletes and supporters from across the globe took on The Linguistic Games to see how much Aussie slang, or 'Dingo Lingo', they could identify.

The Invictus Games

Join the Team UK family on their incredible Invictus 2018 journey. From the opening ceremony, with the warmest of Aussie welcomes, through to Prince Harry's impassioned parting message you'll be astounded.

Hear from the athletes about their magic medal moments, the volunteers who made it all possible and even Prince Harry's "Aussie Granny", Daphne Dunne, about her relationship with the Duke of Sussex and being on the front page of papers all across the globe.

Team UK athletes

The word 'Invictus' means 'unconquered' and the fighting spirit and tenacity characterised by the games was evident throughout the week of competition. Join Jade Callaway as she looks back on the Best Bits of the Invictus Games 2018:
