Ukraine: What is Russia's 'march by fire' military tactic bombarding Ukraine?

Two million Ukrainians have fled the Russian advance as the bombardment of Ukrainian cities continues.

Civilians have fled Irpin, west of Kyiv with the Russian military now enforcing the 'march by fire' tactic, and are likely to intensify their shelling and missile attacks.

Alongside the artillery attacks on cities, Russia is beginning to utilize its air assets more coherently, supporting ground attack operations, a complete turnaround from the start of the invasion, which was low key and hampered by logistics problems.
