Footage released by the Ukrainian Armed Forces appears to show the moment a Russian colonel's helicopter crashed after being hit by a Ukrainian missile.

It has been reported that the well-decorated Russian Lieutenant Colonel Sergey Gundorov died in the attack.

According to reports, the helicopter strike was near Volnovakha in the Donbas, and it makes him the 55th officer of the same rank killed by Ukrainian forces since the start of the Russian invasion.

The footage released appears to show the moments before the fatal strike.
