Queen Consort Camilla hosts reception for Canadian Armed Forces

The Queen Consort has welcomed members of the Queen's Own Rifles of Canada (QORC) to Buckingham Palace.

Honorary Lieutenant Colonel Manjit Minhas; Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Scott Moody and Regimental Sergeant Major WO1 Jeff Johnston, were received in audience at the palace.

Afterwards, the Queen Consort joined a reception in the 1844 Room, where she was presented with the Canadian Forces' Decoration by Brigadier-General Dwayne Parsons.

The medal recognises the Queen Consort's 12 years of service as Colonel-in-Chief to the Queen's Own Rifles of Canada.

At the reception, Her Majesty met guests from the Canadian High Commission, Canadian military, and spouses of the QORC individuals.
