The Princess Royal – known for her hard work and no-nonsense approach to life – celebrates her 72nd birthday today.

Princess Anne continues to carry out duties for the Queen and has been praised for being the hardest working Royal, with engagements that see her travel widely across the UK and overseas regularly.

The Royal is known as one of the busiest, involved with more than 300 charities, organisations and military regiments.
